Sticks & Stones...

While Kylika engages in the fantasies of Bob Marley’s songs as her own life is too ugly to deal with, Christiana’s mind simply deteriorates. Lyn refuses to be labelled as someone with mental illness.

“Broken Dolls” is a play which revolves around six characters who find themselves interacting on a psychiatric ward of a general hospital.

The play explores the power of words to either lift or destroy and the way in which our own actions and the actions of others can leave us broken.

The play also shows us, through the lives of these characters, how we can transform even the most debilitating situation into a redemption song.

I hope that when you leave the theatre you will recognise the fragility of our spirit. Mental illness is not always about the other.

There but for the grace of God...
